Santa Cruz NonForce Chiropractors is a full-service chiropractic treatment facility.
We offer a Non-traditional method of chiropractic called Directional Non-Force Technique® (DNFT®). DNFT® is a gentle technique that delivers highly-effective results, often beyond expectations and without the torque and strong force often associated with traditional chiropractic. It is practiced by only a handful of elite practitioners, and Dr. Masi Bayless
and Dr.Katie Griffin are proud to be two of them.
Dr. Katie retired in May of 2019 but continues to mentor Dr. Masi in her continued success of the practice she started in 1990.
Dr. Katie Griffin is passionate about her work as a Santa Cruz chiropractor and has been committed to providing the holistic care and attention patients need since 1990. When asked why she cares so much, Dr. Griffin says with a smile, “I just love to help people, whether I help them or refer them to the person who does, I’m confident they will recover quickly and their pain will be gone”. She is a graduate of the University of California Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, the study of human motion. She received her Doctor of Chiropractic from the prestigious Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles, California graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Dr. Masi Bayless chose to practice Directional Non-Force Technique (DNFT) Chiropractic because of 3 characteristics:
1) It is safe for all ages and for all types of injuries and chronic pain. 2) It is effective at getting people out of pain and back doing what they love. 3) The results last.
Dr. Bayless takes into consideration the whole person and empowers patients to take control of their health with as little professional interference as possible. DNFT is perfect for this: people get well and don’t need to keep returning for more adjustments over a long period of time. She is thrilled to be practicing this technique in Santa Cruz in the footsteps of Dr. Katie Griffin, her long time mentor and friend. Dr. Bayless is also dedicated to staying current on the latest nutritional and exercise research as an avid researcher and biohacker herself she is always trying to find the most natural, efficient way to improve her health along with her patients to give the best results imaginable. She has a special interest in finding underlining causes for chronic pain and inflammation especially fibromyalsia, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, as well as mold toxicities that are often unaddressed by standard medicine.
I just had an amazing visit with Dr. Masi yesterday. My neck had been bothering me for some time and I had resisted getting treatment, especially chiropractic because of past experiences. This was totally different. The treatment was not what I had expected. In fact I had no idea what to expect. I am looking forward to the remaining treatments with Dr. Masi!
These ladies work miracles! Anyone who tells me they’re in pain… I send them here! Masi helped me after a major fall when my wrists were left inflamed and in pain. After one adjustment, the pain left and never came back.
Dr. Bayless at Santa Cruz non-force Chiropractors is great. She helped me with my shoulder injury and didn’t try to set me up on some long contract full of multiple appointments. I really appreciate the non-force technique as I feel a lot better without all the “cracking”.
