Today I want to show you two easy exercises to relieve neck tension.
Chin Tuck
The first one is just a chin tuck. So you just take your chin and tuck it back. Do this about 10 times every hour, just while you’re having tension in your neck.
Shoulder Blade Retraction
The second exercise is a shoulder blade retraction. So what you do is you just get your shoulder blades to come together. So pretend like you’re holding a blanket. Just move your shoulder blades inward. What that does is it stretches the muscles in the front and strengthens the muscles in the back. You can do this stretch periodically throughout the day. This shoulder stretch really opens up your front reducing that neck tension.
